Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2025

noteout ("we", "our", "app") is a note-taking application that uses Google Drive as its cloud storage backend. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Storage

All notes and content you create in noteout are stored directly in your own Google Drive. We do not store any of your notes on our servers. Your data lives entirely within your Google account.

Google Drive Access

noteout requests access to your Google Drive with the drive.file scope. This allows the app to:

We only access files that noteout creates. We never read, modify, or access any other files in your Google Drive.

Google Sign-In

We use Google Sign-In to authenticate you. We receive only your email address and display name from Google. We do not store your Google credentials or access tokens on our servers.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information or note content with any third parties. Your notes remain private to you and your Google Drive.

Local Storage

noteout stores a local copy of your notes on your device for offline access and fast performance. This data never leaves your device except when you explicitly sync with Google Drive.

Analytics

noteout does not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage data.

Children's Privacy

noteout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
